WW . . . Watson Wyatt & Company Holdings . . . is a Long Position in Professor Profit's Portfolio . . .

Long Position - WW

Action number references are to actions shown on the Action History Chart at the bottom of the page.
Step number references are to Tutorial Steps.
If you need help with terminology refer back to that Step of the Tutorial or the FAQs associated with that Step.

We added this one to the portfolio because we like the looks of both the Configuration and Action History charts, it has a moderate Risk Corridor, and it looks like it is ready to break-through its historic high.

Action 1) - 8/14/05:

Step #1 - NYSE registers a Stage 3 - Bull Market.

WWbuy.gif (48547 bytes)Step #3 - WW flashes a Buy Configuration Signal (click on Configuration Chart, to the right). We execute the Buy. Initial Sell-Stop is established off the valley-bottom resistance points which are below the 30wk moving average. Risk Corridor is a moderate 12.1% (see Action History Chart, below).

Action 2) - 11/6/05:

Step #4 - The closing price for WW on 11/4/05 is observed to be the third subsequent ascending closing price since 10/14/05. Thus, the 11/4 close serves as a confirmation that the 10/14 close of $25.67 was a Valley-bottom and suitable to serve as a marker for a Sell-stop. Since the 10/14 close is below the 30wk moving average, we use the actual close value for guidance in establishing the Sell-stop: $25.67 rounded down to $25. We will await the next WW Valley-bottom to trigger the next Sell-stop adjustment (see Action History Chart, below).

Action 3) - 3/19/06:

Step #4 - A valley-bottom at 2/17/06 ($29.77) is confirmed as three subsequent increases in price occur on 2/24 ($30.42), 3/3 ($31.16), and 3/17 ($32.12). Since the 2/17 valley-bottom is above the 30wk moving average, we adjust the Sell-Stop to the 30wk level at $28. From this point forward, Sell-Stops are adjusted upward in $1 increments in tandem with the 30wk (see Action History Chart, below).

Actions 4) through 16):

Step #4 - Sell-Stop adjustments in tandem with the 30wk moving average (see Action History Chart, below):

4) 4/23/06: 30wk = $29.21 rounded down to $29
5) 5/14/06: 30wk = $30.00 (no rounding required)
6) 6/11/06: 30wk = $31.18 rounded down to $31
7) 7/9/06: 30wk = $32.12 rounded down to $32
8) 8/20/06: 30wk = $33.14 rounded down to $33
9) 9/10/06: 30wk = $34.06 rounded down to $34
10) 10/1/06: 30wk = $35.06 rounded down to $35
11) 10/22/06:
30wk = $36.10 rounded down to $36
12) 11/12/06: 30wk = $37.33 rounded down to $37
13) 12/3/06: 30wk = $38.21 rounded down to $38
14) 12/17/06: 30wk = $39.39 rounded down to $39
15) 12/31/06: 30wk = $40.03 rounded down to $40
16) 1/28/07: 30wk = $41.25 rounded down to $41
